Methodology:


The method of study is direct observation of the historic core area, mapping the activities and analyzing the factors influencing it.
Field study:
-       Mapping the location of historical elements
In the historical core city map,
Historical elements are identifies and the elements are marked
From the historical records tracing the history of the building, to show the importance of the building.
-       Documenting the current situation
Observation of the element in the current scenario
Photographing the environment
Making the plan, elevation and section of the element to show he change
-       Studying the nature of change
Collecting the old photographs of the historic elements and comparing it with the current situation
Listing the changes occurred
Visually and physically
-       Analyzing the factors influencing the transformation
Commercial activities-through land use mapping
Change in the use of building – from documentation
Encroachments
Tourism
Improper maintenance
Rules to govern the buildings of the area.

-       Suggestions for conservation

Guidelines for conservation of the elements.
